Entry requirements

Applicants must hold a master's degree from an institution accredited by a U.S. Department of Education–recognized agency with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Official college transcripts are required (sealed paper copies or sent via an approved electronic transcript system). A non-refundable $50 application fee is charged (with waivers for qualifying service members, veterans, and military spouses when documentation is provided). Applicants whose native language is not English must submit TOEFL scores or an approved alternative assessment; contact Admissions for information on waivers or alternatives.

Preliminary acceptance is possible for students in the final term of their master's program if they submit a preliminary transcript showing they are within the program's specified remaining credit hours, complete a Master’s Self-Certification Form, and provide a final official transcript with a conferral date by the end of their first semester in the doctoral program.
