What you'll study

The undergraduate portion emphasizes human movement and preparatory coursework for graduate PT study and can be completed in three or four years. Students select one of two minors that tailor preparation toward clinical practice: Human Movement or Sports Medicine. Core undergraduate topics include Evidence‑Based Practice, Introduction to Kinesiology, Clinical Physiology, Health Science Education, Nutrition, Biology of Aging and Experiential Learning.

The graduate DPT phase typically spans three years and builds on undergraduate math, science and movement foundations. Graduate learning takes place in facilities such as the Human Anatomy Lab, Standardized Patient Assessment Center, Clinical Practice Labs, the EQUIP Pro Bono Clinic and the Motion Analysis Laboratory. Clinical placements and internships occur at a variety of hospitals and specialist centres.

Entry requirements

Qualified applicants may enter as first‑year students into the dual‑degree track. The BS can be completed in three or four years; upon successful completion of the undergraduate degree and fulfillment of specified program requirements, students are guaranteed admission to the graduate DPT program. The program emphasizes preparatory coursework, experiential learning and observation hours obtained during the undergraduate phase.
