A 12-month, 13-credit graduate certificate that delivers practical analytics and technical skills drawn from the MSMA curriculum. Suited to professionals or recent graduates who want targeted training in statistics, data management, machine learning and visualization without committing to a full master’s degree.
The certificate combines foundational mathematics and statistics with hands-on programming and applied analytics. All courses are scheduled during evening hours and include lab sessions for applied work.
Applicants must submit an online application via AUA Jenzabar SONIS and provide required supporting documents. English proficiency demonstrated by TOEFL iBT (minimum 79) or IELTS Academic (minimum 6.5) is required unless waived for native or near-native speakers. A valid GRE or GMAT score is requested, with a recommended quantitative score at or above the 50th percentile; scores must be no older than five years. Candidates with an appropriate academic background may be eligible for a GRE/GMAT waiver. Applicants without GRE/GMAT scores may take the AUA Internal Assessment; admissions preference is given to those who submit official GRE/GMAT scores. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required; students in their final undergraduate year may also apply.
Graduates will gain applied skills to work with real-world datasets and standard analytical tools (Python, SQL, Power BI), enabling them to apply statistical, machine learning and AI techniques, design data-driven studies, and communicate insights. The curriculum is geared toward those seeking to perform practical data analysis and support data-informed decision making in organizations.
