Canadian Mennonite University

1 Programs 1 Degree levels

A Collaborative MBA designed for leaders who want high-level business skills combined with commitments to sustainability, service and social justice. Suited to students seeking a blended delivery (online or on-campus) that emphasizes ethical leadership, community engagement and business practice that avoids harm to people and the environment.

What you'll study

Coursework balances conventional MBA topics with professional competency, relational skills and attention to business practices that do not harm people or the environment. The program format includes:

  • Two on-site courses as part of the blended delivery.
  • Courses taught one at a time in six-week blocks, meeting Thursdays at 6:00 PM ET (synchronous sessions supplemented by asynchronous activities).
  • One-week international, on-site course during the program.
  • Residential-stream students additionally complete two non-credit seminar courses that expand research and writing experience and offer public-presentation opportunities.

Entry requirements

Applications for Fall open in September and are due March 31. The CMU webpage directs prospective Canadian applicants to contact the Associate Registrar for Graduate Studies (Valerie Smith) for details; international students who require a Canadian study permit must enrol in the residential stream. Specific academic prerequisites or documents are provided through the program admissions page and online application portal.

Career prospects

Graduates are prepared for leadership roles where ethical decision-making, sustainability and community-minded practice matter alongside business competence. Typical destinations include management positions in organisations that prioritise social and environmental responsibility, roles that require stakeholder engagement and service-oriented leadership, and opportunities where public presentation and research experience are valued.
