What you'll study

Coursework and prior preparation must meet the Ordre des psychologues du Québec common core of 42 credits. The required content areas are:

Entry requirements

There are two admissible pathways:

• University Studies Basis: a bachelor’s degree in psychology or equivalent, completion of the OPQ 42-credit common core within the last 10 years, minimum GPA 3.6/4.3 (A- or 80%), proof of English and French proficiency, and a complete application file.
• Sufficient Preparation Basis: current membership in the Ordre des psychologues du Québec (OPQ), proof of English and French proficiency, and a complete application file.

Language proofs: English proficiency may be demonstrated via prior instruction in English, completion of specified post-secondary credits, or an accepted test (DET 115 with no sub-score under 90; TOEFL iBT 90 with no component below 20; IELTS Academic 6.5 overall with no component below 6.0; or Cambridge score 176). French proficiency may be shown by prior French instruction, successful completion of specific Bishop’s micro-certificate, or an accepted test (TEFAQ/TEF Canada B1+ to B2 across competencies; TFI score 700; or Bright Writing Solution 3.5).
