What you'll study

The programme is organised into themed modules (programme subject to change) that combine theory, methods and applied projects:

• Fondamentaux du management des risques et des crises (165 h) — concepts and principles of risk and crisis management; decision-making under uncertainty; enterprise, project and product risk analysis and mapping; tools such as multi-criteria decision aids, functional and value analysis, quantitative risk modelling; and crisis simulation exercises.
• Approche thématique des risques et de leur gestion (205 h) — exploration of major contemporary risk domains (industrial, digital/cyber, environmental/ecological, international/geo-economic, energy, emergent technology risks); legal aspects; case studies and practitioner feedback.
• Approche organisationnelle et culture du risque (27 h) — organisational and cultural dimensions of risk management, integration into strategic and operational decision-making, ISO31000 principles and approaches such as High Reliability Organizations (HRO).
• Pratique du management des risques et développement des projets-pilote (53 h) — initiation and supervision of pilot projects applying the taught methods to produce a professional-grade risk map and a detailed risk control action plan; includes a written report and oral defence.
• Mission professionnelle — a minimum four-month in-company placement culminating in a written master’s dissertation and an oral defence.

Entry requirements

Applicants should hold at least a Bac+4 or Bac+5, or be enrolled via an institutional M2 exchange. Candidates with a Bac+3 plus three years' relevant professional experience are also eligible. The programme targets graduates in engineering, sciences, management, economics, business and related fields.

Career prospects

Graduates are prepared for roles that require systemic risk governance and operational crisis handling across sectors. Typical positions cited include Risk Manager, Chief Risk Officer, C‑level roles with risk remit, CSR/ESG responsibility, and technical or strategy consulting in risk-related domains.
