What you'll study

Core instruction covers the five primary areas of public health knowledge and practice: improving access to healthcare, infectious disease control, organizing community-based health initiatives, population screening and prevention, and emergency preparedness. Entry requirements

Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution by the planned start date and typically have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale; candidates who do not meet those thresholds may still be considered after contacting Graduate Admissions. Prerequisite coursework required includes one college-level human or general biology course and one course in college algebra, statistics, pre-calculus or calculus. The GRE is not required (applicants who have GRE results may submit them). International applicants must demonstrate English proficiency. A nonrefundable application fee of $65 is required and official transcripts must be submitted by approved methods.

The MPH prepares graduates for a wide range of public health roles in both private and governmental settings.
