What you'll study

The curriculum focuses on public health leadership and innovation and on multidisciplinary approaches to persistent health problems. Students complete an applied learning experience in a public health setting of their choosing and produce a publishable capstone paper based on a scholarly project undertaken during that placement. Courses are primarily asynchronous with some required synchronous sessions.

Entry requirements

Applicants do not need an undergraduate degree in public health or a science field; students from varied academic backgrounds are welcome. A completed basic statistics course with a grade of C or better is required prior to starting the program, as it is a prerequisite for several courses.

Career prospects

Graduates are prepared for roles across community and environmental health, policy, administration and research. The program cites sample careers including biostatistician, community health worker, environmental health specialist, epidemiologist, health care administrator and public policy administration.
