What you'll study

The certificate consists of four specific graduate courses:

• SCM 515: Finance & Strategy
• SCM 525: Strategic Sourcing
• SCM 535: Demand & Supply Planning
• SCM 545: Transportation & Distribution

Learning outcomes include applying current supply chain theories and practices using case problems and problem-based learning, using computer-based supply chain optimization tools and selected state-of-the-art software suites, and developing management skills such as negotiation, ethical decision-making, teamwork, and effective written and oral communication.

Entry requirements

Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university. Prospective certificate students apply via the graduate admission application and follow the instructions for graduate applicants. Students who later want the M.S. must meet the master’s admission requirements.

Career prospects

The curriculum targets foundational supply chain functions—sourcing, planning, transportation and financial strategy—preparing graduates for roles that require practical supply chain knowledge and software-based optimization skills. Completing the certificate also provides a direct pathway to the M.S. in Supply Chain Management for expanded career preparation.
