What you'll study

The programme blends substantive policy topics with quantitative and qualitative methods. Students study policy areas such as health policy, education policy, environmental and energy policy, urban policy and social policy, and examine legal and ethical dimensions of public decision-making.

The curriculum usually has a methods sequence emphasising data analysis, causal inference and applied modelling, alongside seminars in policy theory and a senior capstone or practicum. Electives and interdisciplinary options allow students to pair policy analysis with complementary fields such as political science, economics, public health, organisational behaviour or data science.
