What you'll study

The programme combines core biology with coursework emphasising human physiology, cellular and molecular biology, and laboratory techniques. Early years cover foundational subjects: general biology, general chemistry, calculus or statistics, and introductory laboratory methods. Upper-division modules typically include cell biology, molecular genetics, biochemistry, microbiology, immunology, anatomy and physiology, and experimental design and data analysis.

Students are trained in practical laboratory skills such as aseptic technique, microscopy, PCR, gel electrophoresis, spectrophotometry and basic tissue handling.
