Entry requirements

Applicants are normally expected to hold a bachelor’s degree in dietetics, nutrition, or a related biological science from an accredited institution. Typical prerequisites include introductory and advanced coursework in human anatomy and physiology, chemistry (including organic or biochemistry), microbiology, food science or foodservice management, nutrition fundamentals, and statistics. Departments usually expect a competitive undergraduate GPA; applicants with relevant professional experience, letters of recommendation, a personal statement, and a résumé or curriculum vitae strengthen their application.

Some applicants without a dietetics-specific degree may be admitted conditionally and required to complete prerequisite didactic coursework prior to or during the early stages of the programme.
