Studio projects move from site analysis and concept through to resolved documentation and presentation. Technical units cover building systems, materials, construction methods and compliance with Australian building regulations. Elective and research options allow specialisation in areas such as urban design, conservation and heritage, landscape architecture interfaces, digital fabrication, or performance-based sustainable design. The degree usually culminates in a major design thesis or capstone project that demonstrates professional competence and a synthesis of design and technical knowledge.

Entry requirements

Applicants are typically expected to hold an accredited undergraduate degree in architecture (or equivalent professional qualification) or a closely related discipline plus a portfolio demonstrating design capability. Where the undergraduate qualification is not a professional architecture degree, applicants may be required to show additional coursework or professional experience to meet accreditation pathways.

Other common requirements include evidence of academic attainment in prior study, a curated portfolio of design work, a statement of intent outlining professional goals, and references.
