Entry requirements

Applicants are expected to hold a relevant masters by research, a first-class honours degree, or an equivalent qualification demonstrating research capability in pharmacy, pharmaceutical sciences, medicinal chemistry, clinical pharmacology or a closely related discipline. Experienced practising pharmacists with substantial research experience and a well-developed research proposal may also be considered.

Applicants must identify a suitable supervisor and provide a clear research proposal outlining aims, methods and expected outcomes. Academic transcripts, two or three academic referees, and evidence of research experience (publications, theses, or technical reports) strengthen applications. International applicants must meet Curtin's English language requirements.

Admission is subject to approval by the School and compliance with Curtin’s higher degree by research candidature policies. Candidates may be offered full-time or part-time enrolment; part-time candidates should ensure they can meet the research supervision and progress expectations.
