What you'll study

This programme introduces core concepts in sustainable development alongside applied skills in policy analysis, project design and evaluation, and research methods. Entry requirements

Applicants are normally expected to hold a UK upper second-class honours degree (2:1) or an international equivalent in a relevant discipline such as social sciences, environmental sciences, economics, geography or a related subject. Applicants with a lower second-class degree (2:2) may be considered if they can demonstrate substantial relevant professional experience in development, environmental management or a related sector.

Relevant professional experience, voluntary work or prior study in development contexts will strengthen an application. Applicants whose first language is not English will need to meet the University's English language requirements; commonly accepted evidence includes an academic-level English test with an overall score and minimum component scores in line with Loughborough's postgraduate requirements.

All applicants should submit a personal statement outlining their interest in international sustainable development, relevant experience and proposed areas for study, together with references and any other documentation requested by the admissions team.
