What you'll study

The BBA provides a blend of core business disciplines and applied skills across accounting, finance, marketing, operations, human resource management, strategy and entrepreneurship. Teaching combines lectures, seminars, case studies and project work to develop decision‑making, communication and analytical ability.

• Year 1 / Foundation modules: introductions to management, accounting and finance for managers, marketing principles, quantitative methods and business computing, plus academic and professional skills.
• Year 2 / Developing depth: managerial economics, organisational behaviour, operations and supply chain fundamentals, corporate finance, marketing strategy and business law. Emphasis shifts to applied group projects and live casework.
• Final year / Specialisation and practice: strategic management, elective modules (for example international business, digital marketing, entrepreneurship, human resource management, sustainability and data analytics), and a capstone project such as a consultancy assignment or a dissertation.

Entry requirements

• UK applicants: A‑level, Scottish Highers/Advanced Highers or a recognised equivalent; mathematics or a quantitative subject is advantageous.
• International applicants: recognised national secondary school qualifications or an international diploma (for example IB) with performance at a level expected by the university; evidence of English language proficiency is required if prior education was not in English.
• Mature and alternative applicants: relevant work experience, vocational qualifications or completion of a recognised access programme may be considered.
