What you'll study

This three-year BSc programme provides a solid grounding in the major disciplines of modern biology while allowing you to specialise through option choices. Core topics include cell and molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, physiology, microbiology, ecology and evolution. Practical laboratory and fieldwork are integrated throughout the degree to develop technical skills in microscopy, molecular techniques (e.g. PCR, electrophoresis), tissue culture, ecological survey methods, data analysis and bioinformatics.
