What you'll study

This four‑year programme blends management subjects with health‑specific modules to give a practical grounding in how healthcare organisations operate. Core topics typically include health systems and policy, health economics, hospital and clinic administration, healthcare quality and risk management, health information systems and health law.

• Core management modules: accounting and financial management for healthcare, human resource management, strategic management, marketing for health services.
• Health sector modules: health policy and systems, health insurance and reimbursement, public health fundamentals, epidemiology and biostatistics.
• Operational and technical modules: hospital operations, patient safety and quality improvement, health informatics, medical records and data management.
• Ethics and regulation: medical ethics, legal issues in healthcare, compliance and risk governance.
• Practical learning: supervised internships in Chang Gung Memorial Hospital network or other partner institutions, project work, and a capstone or practicum that integrates management skills with a real organisational challenge.

Students also complete general education requirements and may choose elective modules such as long‑term care management, gerontology, pharmaceutical management or health entrepreneurship depending on faculty offerings.

Entry requirements

Applicants are normally expected to hold a completed secondary school qualification equivalent to the Taiwanese university entrance standard. Admission typically considers academic transcripts and national or university entrance examination results.

• Domestic applicants: secondary school graduation and performance in the standard national/municipal entrance process.
• International applicants: a recognised secondary qualification, certified transcripts and evidence of language proficiency. Proficiency in Mandarin is commonly required for courses taught in Chinese; for programmes or courses delivered in English, applicants may be asked to provide an English language test score.
• Additional materials: personal statement, recommendation letters and, in some cases, an interview or entrance assessment may be requested to assess motivation and suitability for healthcare management.
