What you'll study

The programme builds a foundation in microeconomics, macroeconomics and quantitative methods before applying these tools to business contexts. In early stages you typically study core subjects such as Principles of Microeconomics, Principles of Macroeconomics, Mathematics for Economists and Data Analysis. As you progress, modules move towards applied and specialist topics including Business Economics, Industrial Organisation, Labour Economics, Public Sector Economics, Econometrics and Financial Markets.

Teaching emphasises practical skills: you will learn to use statistical and econometric software (for example R and Stata), interpret business and market data, construct forecasting models, and carry out independent research. The final year commonly includes a substantial dissertation or applied research project alongside advanced option modules that may cover strategy, international trade, regulation, development economics or a business-focused consultancy project.

The programme structure follows the standard undergraduate sequence with introductory modules in the first year, intermediate core and applied modules in the second year, and specialised options plus a capstone research project in the final year. Entry requirements
