It suits students who want a practical, career-focused business education combining classroom study, internships and an accelerated pathway into graduate study.
The Business Administration BS provides a core grounding in the functional areas of business alongside quantitative skills and professional development. Core modules typically cover introductory and intermediate accounting, principles of finance, micro- and macroeconomics, organisational behaviour, marketing, business law and ethics, statistics for business, and operations management. Students also study information systems for business, strategic management and a senior-level capstone course that integrates theory with applied projects.
Beyond core requirements, the programme offers concentrations and elective options such as finance, marketing, management, international business, human resource management and supply chain/operations. Practical elements include team-based case projects, simulations, presentations and an internship or practicum to gain workplace experience. Students pursuing the accelerated BS/MBA pathway may begin graduate-level courses during their senior year, reducing the overall time to a master’s degree while completing undergraduate requirements.
Applicants are expected to hold a recognised high-school diploma or equivalent. Typical admission materials include official secondary school transcripts, a personal statement, and one or more academic or character references. Standardised test requirements (SAT/ACT) may be optional or considered where submitted. Mature applicants with prior college study, professional experience, or relevant qualifications are considered on an individual basis.
International applicants must provide certified academic records and demonstrate English proficiency through recognised tests or institutional pathways if English is not their first language. Transfer applicants should supply college transcripts and course descriptions for evaluation; transfer credit is awarded according to programme policies.
Graduates of the Business Administration programme move into a wide range of entry-level and early-career roles across sectors. Common job titles include business analyst, marketing coordinator, junior financial analyst, sales representative, human resources assistant, operations coordinator and management trainee. The programme’s applied elements and internship placements support transitions into roles with small and medium enterprises, corporate organisations, nonprofits and public-sector bodies.
Many students also progress to specialised graduate study (for example an MBA or MSc in finance, marketing or management). Those on the BS/MBA accelerated pathway are well placed to move into managerial roles more quickly thanks to reduced time to a master’s degree and prior exposure to graduate-level coursework.
