Coursework moves quickly from foundational design and drawing skills into digital surface modeling, materials and manufacturing, and studio projects that require prototyping and user research. First-year sample courses listed on the programme progression include:

Instruction combines studio critiques, fabrication lab work, digital modeling and industry-sponsored projects. Graduates build a portfolio demonstrating both physical and digital product solutions.

Entry requirements

Admission follows Lawrence Technological University’s standard requirements for undergraduate programmes. The Product Design degree does not require a portfolio for admission. Total Semester Credit Hours for the programme are 121.

Graduates enter roles across product-focused industries, including consumer goods, furniture and housewares, toys and sports equipment, medical devices, mobility and transportation systems, and UX/UI or design strategy.
