What you'll study

Coursework and experiences develop managerial competence for emergency services organizations. Students learn agency management, ethical decision-making, critical thinking, and problem-solving aimed at effective emergency and disaster response. The program prepares graduates to handle organizational complexities across law enforcement, firefighting, emergency medical services, emergency management agencies, homeland security/defense entities, and safety functions in healthcare and industry.

Entry requirements

No previous degree is required. Applicants must submit official high school or GED transcripts; transfer students must provide official transcripts from their prior institution. Anderson University operates rolling admissions but recommends applying by December 1 for best scholarship consideration and no later than July 1 to begin in the fall semester.

Career prospects

Graduates are prepared for management and leadership positions at local, state, tribal, and federal emergency management and emergency services organizations. Employment pathways include emergency management agencies, law enforcement, fire services, emergency medical services, homeland security or defense organizations, non-governmental disaster response groups, healthcare system emergency management, and corporate/industrial safety and security roles.
