An English-taught two-year master's focused on nanomedicine and imaging, combining drug-delivery vector development with imaging and radiopharmacy. Suited to biology, pharmacy or medical graduates who want technical and regulatory skills for developing nanovectors and theranostic agents.

What you'll study

The programme is organised into taught units (UE) across semesters 3 and 4 covering pharmaceutical development, radiobiology/radiopharmacology, nanoparticle synthesis and characterisation, biomedical applications, pharmacology and cancer pathophysiology. Specific UEs listed for the two semesters are:

  • Semester 3: UE1 Pharmaceutical development (6 ECTS), UE2 Radiobiology, Radiopharmacology and Radiopharmacy (6 ECTS), UE3 From biology to biotherapy (6 ECTS), UE4 Synthesis and characterization of nanoparticles (6 ECTS), UE5 Biomedical applications of nanoparticles (6 ECTS).
  • Semester 4: UE1 Pharmaceutical development (6 ECTS), UE3 From biology to biotherapy (6 ECTS), UE4 Synthesis and characterization of nanoparticles (6 ECTS), UE7 Biomedical applications of nanoparticles (3 ECTS), UE8 Pharmacology of anticancer drugs and targeted therapies (4 ECTS), UE9 Physiopathology of cancers and oncogenesis (5 ECTS).

Entry requirements

Admission is by selection on file by the Master recruitment committee. Required materials and criteria explicitly include a validated Master 1, English level B2, academic results from Licence and Master 1, and a statement of motivation and professional project. The programme targets scientists and students or interns in pharmacy and medicine.

Career prospects

Graduates may pursue doctoral studies in pharmaceutical sciences or biology or enter industry and clinical research. Occupations explicitly associated with the degree include industrial formulation engineer, research & development engineer, design and development engineer, nanotechnology engineer, pharmaceutical development manager, hospital doctor, hospital pharmacist, nanotechnologist, scientific research pharmacist, medical research doctor and radiochemist in research.
