Programme overview

Grace Theological Seminary’s online Master of Divinity in Pastoral Counseling delivers the same faculty instruction and core curriculum as the residential M.Div., but through high-definition video and an online learning platform. The programme is explicitly designed to prepare students to minister in counseling roles within the local church, integrating biblical theology with psychological principles to equip pastors and lay counselors for soul care, guidance, and restoration. Entry requirements

Applicants normally must hold a four-year bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) from a recognised institution. Candidates from Bible colleges, liberal arts colleges, and state universities are encouraged to apply. Those with pre-seminary GPAs under 2.5 or degrees from non-accredited institutions may be admitted on academic restriction. Applicants without a bachelor’s degree may still be considered if they meet specified ministry experience and research/writing requirements. Admission also requires a personal testimony of faith in Jesus Christ, a spiritual life reference, and submission of transcripts (unofficial acceptable for initial review; official transcripts required upon completion). International applicants must provide TESOL test scores and a financial certificate showing sufficient funding.
