The University of Toronto Department of Radiation Oncology (UTDRO) is now accepting applications for the STARS21 Program 2025–2026, a prestigious, year-long strategic training initiative in transdisciplinary radiation medicine. What is STARS21?
STARS21 (Strategic Training in Transdisciplinary Radiation Science for the 21st Century) is a competitive fellowship that trains the next generation of researchers and clinician-scientists in the evolving field of radiation medicine.

Eligibility Criteria
The program is open to:
- Graduate students (Master’s and PhD candidates)
- Postdoctoral fellows
- Medical residents in radiation oncology or related specialties
- Clinical fellows in cancer care, imaging, or radiation sciences
Applicants from across Canada and international institutions are welcome.
Application Procedure
Step 1: Submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) before the applicable deadline.
Step 2: Shortlisted applicants will be invited to submit a full application.
Step 3: Awards will be announced in September 2025 for a program start in Fall 2025.
