What you'll study

The programme combines theoretical foundations and applied practice in the use of information and communication technologies to improve teaching and learning. Typical modules cover instructional design models, theories of learning with technology, multimedia development, e‑learning systems, learning management systems, and research methods in education. Students learn to plan, develop and evaluate digital learning resources, integrate technology into curriculum, and apply user-centred design and accessibility principles.

Entry requirements

Applicants are normally expected to hold a recognised bachelor’s degree in education or a related discipline (such as instructional design, computer science, curriculum studies or a subject teaching qualification). A competitive cumulative grade/score from the bachelor degree is usually required. Candidates whose first language is not Arabic may need to demonstrate Arabic language proficiency for study or professional practice in local schools; English proficiency is also often required for engagement with technical literature and research. Admissions processes commonly include submission of academic transcripts, a statement of purpose, and references; some applicants may be invited to an interview or asked to provide a brief research proposal.
