The MSc Advanced Motorsport Mechatronics is a specialist postgraduate programme that combines vehicle systems engineering, control electronics and software for high-performance motorsport applications. It suits engineers and graduates with a background in mechanical, electronic or mechatronic engineering who want to work on vehicle control, telemetry, powertrain electrification and embedded systems in motorsport or high-performance vehicle sectors.
This master's brings together core engineering disciplines used in modern race cars: sensors and instrumentation, embedded control systems, data acquisition and telemetry, vehicle dynamics and powertrain electrification. Teaching blends lectures, practical laboratory work and project-based learning to develop both theoretical understanding and hands-on skills.
The programme emphasises hands-on experience with instrumentation, ECU calibration, sensor fusion, real-time controllers, simulation environments and vehicle testing.
