What you'll study

Instruction focuses on building skills in qualitative and quantitative analysis, grant writing, and the analysis of complex policy environments. Students are trained to address normative political questions, apply statistical methods to policy analysis, and develop networks within political and nonprofit sectors. The curriculum includes coursework, professional development activities, and independent research.

Entry requirements

Current Lehigh students who wish to enter the 4+1 accelerated program must have achieved junior standing (a minimum of 54 credits) and maintain an overall GPA of at least 3.5. Students in these programs who do not qualify for direct admittance to the MS or MPH based on their GPA must apply for acceptance; two letters of recommendation are required.

Career prospects

Graduates are prepared for continued academic work such as doctoral programs or professional pathways like law school, as well as applied roles in policy analysis, nonprofit organizations, and political institutions where skills in statistical policy analysis, qualitative research, grant writing and networking are useful.
