What you'll study

• BAN 571 Introduction to Management Science (3) — topics include decision theory, linear and nonlinear programming, dynamic programming, transportation and assignment models, network models (PERT-CPM), Markov chains, game theory, inventory models, queuing theory, and simulation models. (Prerequisite: BAN 570.)
• BAN 572 Introduction to Business Analytics (3) — covers the full spectrum of business analytics (descriptive, predictive, prescriptive) and provides step-by-step instruction in Excel and add-ins such as XL Miner and the Analytic Solver Platform for optimization and simulation. (Prerequisite: BAN 570.)
• BAN 573 Advanced Business Analytics (3) — focuses on extensive data analysis, spreadsheet modeling and uses statistical software R and Python to teach analytical methods for real-world decision making. (Prerequisite: BAN 570.)
