What you'll study

The curriculum covers technical foundations and management-oriented IT topics. Core learning areas called out by the program include:

• Communication technologies and advanced computer architecture
• Strategic planning for database systems and management of organizational data resources
• Networking, distributed applications, network management, security and network operating systems
• Systems development methodologies and design of system solutions, including user-friendly interfaces for mobile, web and desktop platforms
• Project management and team leadership for software development projects

Students may also tailor study through one of several concentrations, such as Agentic AI Systems Engineering, Artificial Intelligence Systems Management, Computer Security Management, Computer Forensic Management, Enterprise Network Management, Information Systems Management, IT Project Management and Software Engineering Management.

Scholarships & funding angle (general)

Strayer provides multiple cost-reduction options referenced on the program page. Tuition is stated per course rather than per program: $2,540 per course, plus a $65 technology fee each term, a one-time $150 degree conferral fee and a $100 resource kit fee per course. Published financial incentives include a $4,000 Alumni Master’s Scholarship, a promotion to enroll in two master’s courses at 50% off tuition (eligibility rules apply), a Civic and Community Alliance Scholarship offering 25% off for certain civic/nonprofit roles, and a noted possibility of a $5,000 transfer-course scholarship if four or more courses are transferred in.
