UTC’s MBA is a professionally oriented graduate degree offered in both part-time and fully online formats, aimed at working professionals and recent graduates wanting leadership credentials. It suits people from any undergraduate major who seek broader managerial skills or a concentration in accounting, analytics, finance, or healthcare administration.

What you'll study

The MBA comprises 12 total courses, with a mix of core courses and either concentration courses or electives. Core courses are delivered on a rotational basis and are typically offered every fall and spring; some run in summer. Electives are offered based on forecasted demand and are usually available at least once per year.

  • Concentrations: Accounting; Business Analytics; Finance; Healthcare Administration; General (no concentration).
  • General track electives: General MBA students choose three approved graduate electives in management, marketing, finance, or accounting.
  • Concentration requirements: Students in a concentration take three courses required by that concentration instead of three electives.
  • Delivery and scheduling: Full semesters (Fall, Spring) follow a 15‑week plus exam week schedule. Summer uses two six‑week mini‑terms (Summer 1 and Summer 2). Part‑time students commonly take one or two courses per semester; full‑time students typically take three courses per semester.

Entry requirements

Applicants from any undergraduate major are eligible for admission. The program notes that if, upon admission, transcripts are found to lack the equivalent of a C or better in business statistics, the student will need to address that deficiency as determined by the program. Multiple admission terms are offered.

Career prospects

The curriculum emphasizes strategic thinking, financial acumen, leadership, business intelligence, decision‑making under uncertainty and organizational management to prepare graduates for management roles across industries. The page cites a median starting salary for MBA graduates of $85,000 (Source: NACE Winter 2025 Salary Survey).
