• On-campus: Childhood Education (M.S.), Childhood and Special Education (M.S.), Adolescence Education (M.S.), Health and Physical Education (M.S.) — note the Health and Physical Education M.S. is limited to Utica University undergraduates.
• 100% online: Special Education P–12 (M.S.Ed.), Special Education Apprenticeship (M.S.), Students with Disabilities P–12 (M.S.), Leadership and Instruction for Inclusive Classrooms (M.S.Ed.), Alternative Certification (Trans B) Apprenticeship (M.S.).

Entry requirements

Per New York State legislation, the department no longer requires the MAT or GRE for admission. Applicants seeking teacher certification or professional certification should email unofficial transcripts and the certification sought to graduate admissions (Rayna Seabury at reorsino@utica.edu) for an evaluation. The page also directs interested applicants to request transcript evaluation for certification pathways.
