Programme overview

The Sport Management specialization is the application of business concepts to the sport sector and is delivered as a 9-hour grouping of three classes designed to meet accreditation guidelines established by the Committee on Sport Management Accreditation (COSMA). The specialization is embedded within Ashland University's AACSB- and ACBSP-accredited MBA program and emphasizes applied field experiences with close faculty mentoring.

What you'll study

The specialization consists of three courses totaling nine credit hours that focus on translating business skills into sport-specific settings. Students complete multiple field experiences that let them practise skills in real sport organizations while receiving guidance from faculty.

Entry requirements

Applicants must hold an undergraduate degree. Some specialization courses carry prerequisites. Courses are delivered via the Blackboard learning management system, which houses videos, syllabi, assignments and communication tools.
