Shenkar School of Engineering & Design

9 Programs 3 Degree levels

A two-year, course-based MSc in Industrial Engineering and Management aimed at industrial engineers and graduates from engineering and other disciplines (business, life sciences, design, social sciences). The programme focuses on applied, workplace-relevant methods—covering areas such as machine learning, AI and Big Data—culminating in a supervised final project rather than a thesis.

What you'll study

The programme includes coursework taught by faculty with expertise across machine learning, artificial intelligence, Big Data, product management and project management. Instruction is designed to supply practical, industry-focused skills. Students complete a supervised final project guided by a senior academic staff member; projects can address problems originating in the student’s employer or another organisation.

Entry requirements

The programme is primarily intended for graduates in industrial engineering and management; these applicants do not require preparatory coursework. Candidates holding first degrees in other disciplines (for example, business, social sciences, life sciences, design or other engineering fields) may be required to take academic preparatory (completion) courses determined by their background. Applicants who need up to two completion courses may join the MSc and take those courses in parallel; applicants who require more than two must finish the required completion coursework successfully before entering the programme. A passing grade for a completion course is 60. Completion courses incur additional fees. Registration for the master’s final project is conditional on successful completion of any required preparatory courses.

Career prospects

Graduates are prepared for technical and management roles across manufacturing, financial services and service organisations. The programme’s industry-shaped content and practical final project support transitions into positions that demand combined engineering, data-driven and managerial capabilities.

Scholarships & funding angle (general)

The course page notes that completion (make-up) courses are charged separately. For information on scholarships, tuition and other funding options, applicants are advised to contact Shenkar’s information and registration centre directly.
