A non-degree inbound exchange for students from partner universities to study at Shih Hsin University for one or two semesters. Suited to undergraduates seeking coursework in English or Chinese, free Chinese classes, and short-term cultural and academic immersion in Taipei.
Shih Hsin University’s International Exchange Program accepts students nominated by partner institutions for one or two semesters. Courses are offered in English or Chinese; the fall semester runs September–January and the spring semester runs February–June. Tuition is waived for students from partner universities.
Exchange students may take courses across SHU’s four colleges (Journalism and Communication; Management; Humanities and Social Sciences; Law) and the English and Chinese teaching centers. There is a per-semester course limit of 25 credits. SHU offers a free Chinese language programme for exchange students with at least four hours of class per week, ranging from beginner to advanced levels.
Admission is coordinated through the student’s home university. The application sequence in the source text is: nomination by the home university, submission of required documents, receipt of SHU’s letter of acceptance, and completion of course selection, airport pick-up and dorm application forms.
This is a study-abroad opportunity rather than a vocational qualification. Participating can strengthen language ability, broaden international academic exposure, and expand intercultural networks—advantages useful in careers that value global experience, language skills and cross-cultural communication.
The programme specifies that tuition fees are waived for students from partner institutions. No other scholarships or funding details are provided on the source page.
