What you'll study

The programme develops advanced competencies across mathematics, statistics and bioengineering and trains students to design biological systems and processes to meet defined product or performance goals. Graduates learn to identify engineering problems in biotechnology and apply current techniques and instruments to propose solutions, work in interdisciplinary teams with decisive responsibility, and communicate scientific work effectively in English.

Entry requirements

Applicants must hold or expect to hold a Bachelor's degree by the start of the term and meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum B.S. cumulative GPA of 2.00 out of 4.00
  • Minimum score of 55 from ALES or 148 from GRE (Quantitative Reasoning)
  • Minimum of 55 from YDS or 66 from TOEFL, or success in Yeditepe University's proficiency exam if these are unavailable
  • Successful interview with the department
