What you'll study

The programme offers flexible module pathways so you can focus on literature, historical questions or material culture. Available topics include cultures, histories and literatures of ancient Greece, the Roman world, the Levant and the Near East; ancient literature; heritage studies; law and conflict; and ancient landscapes. Both pathways support study of ancient languages and prepare you for an independent research project supervised by a specialist.
