The MA Sports Communication and Journalism is a campus‑based master’s located at Singleton Park Campus that blends practical media training with critical study of contemporary communication, journalism and public relations within sport. The programme emphasises story identification and narrative construction, multimedia production (videography and still imagery), and techniques to promote and distribute content to sporting audiences. It is offered full time (1 year) and part time (2 or 3 years).
In part one you study six taught modules: three 20‑credit modules each semester that address core elements of sporting journalism and communications, refining practical and analytical skills. The capstone of the course is a 60‑credit major project in part two. For the final project you choose one of three routes:

The department emphasises development of oral and professional writing skills and digital media competence.
