Entry requirements

Admission follows a three‑step process: submit an application through ATCAS, complete the free Cedarville graduate application, and interview with MAT faculty. Applicants who already hold a bachelor’s degree may apply directly to the standalone two‑year MAT if they meet prerequisite coursework; Cedarville also offers an accelerated five‑year dual BS in Sport Medicine plus MAT pathway that integrates undergraduate and graduate study.

Graduates are prepared for roles in secondary schools, collegiate athletics, professional team settings and rehabilitation clinics or hospitals. Clinical rotations and immersive placements occur with Cedarville NCAA Division II teams, local high schools, sports medicine clinics, regional hospitals and, in immersive experiences, with partners that have included professional clubs (e.g., Columbus Crew, FC Cincinnati), pediatric hospitals (Nationwide Children’s, Dayton Children’s) and Division I and II university programs. The program reports CAATE outcomes and a three‑year BOC pass metric on the CAATE site.
