Programme overview

Curry College's MSN is delivered in a Hyflex hybrid format so students may attend remotely or on campus and can move between modes week to week. Programs can be completed in as few as two years by taking one course at a time. The School of Nursing and Health Sciences emphasizes cohort learning, small classes, simulation lab experience and clinical placements in the Greater Boston area. The master's programs are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).

What you'll study

The MSN offers three pathways tailored to different backgrounds and goals:

• Accelerated Entry MSN: designed for students who hold a non-nursing bachelor's degree and prepares them for clinical nursing practice through hands-on, immersive experiences with cohort-based learning.
• Nursing Education MSN: for registered nurses (open to RNs with a bachelor’s degree in any subject) focused on designing, implementing, evaluating and revising academic and continuing education programs for nurses.
• Nursing Administration MSN: for practicing nurses seeking administrative and leadership roles, with coursework and practical learning to develop communication, team leadership, advocacy and risk-minimization skills in healthcare settings.

Entry requirements

Specific pathways have different prerequisites. The Nursing Education track accepts registered nurses who hold an unrestricted Massachusetts RN license and RNs with a bachelor’s degree in any subject. The Accelerated Entry pathway is intended for applicants with a non-nursing degree who want preparation to enter the nursing profession.
