• MGT 525 Current Issues in Healthcare Management — readings, lectures and presentations examine challenges in healthcare delivery, financing, political and social context, and ethical considerations.
• MGT 527 Healthcare Management — case-method, problem-solving study of relationships among community, government, patients, professionals and organizations to prepare decision makers for complex healthcare environments.
• MGT 571 Healthcare Law and Compliance — survey of legal, regulatory and ethical responsibilities for healthcare managers, including medical negligence, administrative law, confidentiality, consent, professional discipline, government policy, managed care, fraud and abuse, employment law, insurance and public safety.
• ECN 571 Topics in Healthcare Economics — economic analysis for healthcare decision-making, market characteristics, efficiency of delivery and financing, demand and insurance, government intervention and analysis of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
• MIS 571 Healthcare Information Systems — introduction to information systems used in healthcare, covering electronic medical records, outcomes management, mobile technologies, regulation, standards, security and management perspectives.
