What you'll study

Course content is customized to each student's academic and licensure goals. The program emphasizes evidence-based counseling theory integrated with Christian faith and covers diverse populations and family systems. Typical learning and practice methods include:

• Recorded role-plays with faculty feedback and telehealth experiences.
• Practicum and internship courses with live weekly synchronous sessions and supervised clinical work at field sites.
• Optional in-person intensives for skills such as presentation, counseling, consultation, collaboration and networking.
• Course scheduling that supports focused study—fall and winter courses commonly run 15 weeks; some summer courses are 8 weeks.

Entry requirements

Applicants are expected to hold a master’s degree in counseling or a related helping/mental health profession. Students are responsible for consulting relevant licensure or certification boards to determine the specific academic content they must complete; faculty collaborate to create an individualized plan that addresses those requirements.
