Admission requires submission of the IWU Doctoral Nursing application for the BSN-to-DNP PMHNP track, official transcripts documenting a baccalaureate degree in nursing from an institution accredited by an ED/CHEA-recognized agency plus national nursing programmatic accreditation (CCNE, ACEN, CNEA), and an undergraduate GPA of 3.25 (4.0 scale) based on at least 30 hours from the degree-granting institution. Conditional admission is possible with a minimum 3.0 GPA and allows enrollment in up to 9 doctoral credit hours to establish a graduate GPA; students must attain a 3.0 in those hours to move to regular admission. Applicants must hold a current unencumbered RN license and submit a resume/CV and a 2–3 page narrative describing practice experience and professional goals. International applicants must meet TOEFL or IELTS score thresholds (TOEFL: 600 paper / 250 computer / 100 internet; IELTS: 6.5). A criminal background check is required after admission and must be completed within six weeks of program start; documentation of background checks, health information, immunizations, and drug screening may be required by clinical sites.
