Europe Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s - Mundus MAPP Scholarship 2026-2028 (Fully Funded)

Applications are now open for the 2026–2028 Mundus MAPP cohort, a prestigious Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s (EMJM) program in Public Policy, supported by the Erasmus+ initiative of the European Union. The program is delivered by a consortium of leading institutions: Central European University (CEU), Institut Barcelona d’Estudis Internacionals (IBEI), International Institute of Social Studies (ISS), and the University of York.

Degree Level

  • Masters

Available Subjects

Mundus MAPP is a unique two-year Master’s program in Public Policy that allows students to study at two different partner universities, depending on their chosen mobility track. Specializations include:

  • Global Public Policy (CEU–IBEI track)
  • European Public Policy (CEU–York track)
  • Political Economy and Development (ISS–IBEI track)
  • Governance and Development (ISS–York track)

The program combines rigorous academic training with practical exposure, preparing graduates for careers in government, international organizations, research, NGOs, and the private sector.

Benefits

The Erasmus Mundus (EMJM) Scholarship is awarded to top-ranked applicants, regardless of nationality. Benefits include:

  • Monthly stipend: €1,400 for 24 months (up to €33,600)
  • Full tuition fee waiver
  • Health insurance (for the full study period plus additional coverage before and after studies)
  • Support for students with special needs (depending on disability level)

However, recipients must cover certain costs themselves, such as:

  • Study visits (€600–€1000) during Year 1
  • Winter School (€600–€1000) in Year 2
  • Travel and visa expenses between consortium countries

Additional Institutional Scholarships

In addition to the EMJM scholarship, the consortium offers one Institutional Scholarship per study track, which includes a 50% tuition fee waiver for both years. Unlike the EMJM, this scholarship does not include a stipend.

Eligible Nationalities

Open to applicants of all nationalities.

Eligibility Criteria

The program welcomes applicants from all nationalities with strong academic backgrounds. Since scholarships are limited, candidates are encouraged to also explore external funding opportunities offered by partner institutions (CEU, IBEI, ISS, York) and other funding bodies.
