Scholarship Description:

RWTH Aachen University is pleased to provide a scholarship that assists Master's Studies at TGGS, with the second year of the program dedicated to a research stay at RWTH Aachen University. The funding for this scholarship is made possible through the support of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the German Federal Foreign Office. TGGS was established as a collaborative initiative involving DAAD, RWTH Aachen, and King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB).







About DAAD-TGGS:


The DAAD-TGGS (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst - Thai-German Graduate School of Engineering) is a collaborative initiative that offers opportunities for advanced engineering studies and research. Established as a joint project between the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), RWTH Aachen University in Germany, and King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB) in Thailand, this program provides a unique educational experience. It aims to support Master's students in their academic pursuits by offering scholarships for their studies, with the second year of the program dedicated to a research stay at RWTH Aachen University. This partnership enhances academic and cultural exchange between Germany and Thailand while fostering research and innovation in the field of engineering.


The DAAD-TGGS program is renowned for its commitment to academic excellence and its emphasis on research-driven education. It brings together the expertise and resources of two prestigious institutions, RWTH Aachen and KMUTNB, to provide students with a well-rounded education in engineering disciplines. With scholarship support from DAAD and the German Federal Foreign Office, the program enables students from Thailand and beyond to access world-class education and research opportunities in engineering, making it a valuable platform for aspiring engineers and researchers to advance their careers and contribute to the global engineering community.

Degree Level:

Fully Funded DAAD TGGS Scholarship, Thailand. is available to undertake Masters level programs at The Sirindhorn International Thai-German Graduate School of Engineering.

Available Subjects:

Available master programs for the scholarship are:

    • Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE)
    • Chemical and Process Engineering (CPE)
    • Mechanical Engineering Simulation and Design (MESD)
    • Automotive Safety and Assessment Engineering (ASAE)
    • Materials and Production Engineering (MPE)

    Scholarship Benefits:

    The scholarships are granted for the first academic year beginning in August each year. An extension to the second year will be granted according to the student’s performance during the first year.

     The scholarship covers the full tuition fees (partly funded by KMUTNB) and includes a monthly rate towards the student’s costs of living.

    Eligible Nationalities:

    This scholarship is open to international students from South-East Asian countries (excluding Thailand).

    Eligibility Criteria:

      • Possession of a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
      • Demonstrated excellent academic performance
      • Proficiency in English (*Selection may require proof of English skills)

        Application Procedure:

        • Competitive Selection Process:
          • Interviews conducted approximately during the 1st to 3rd weeks following the application deadline
          • Application deadline typically falls around the beginning to mid of May each year.
