What you'll study

This programme builds a foundation in core business disciplines—accounting, finance, marketing and economics—while emphasising management principles and the operational systems that make organisations run efficiently. Early semesters cover introductory modules in financial and managerial accounting, micro- and macro-economics, business law, quantitative methods and organisational behaviour.

As you progress you will take management- and operations-focused subjects such as operations management, supply chain fundamentals, project management, quality management and business analytics. Courses in strategic management, human resource management and managerial finance prepare you to lead teams and make data-informed decisions.

The programme typically includes applied learning elements: case studies, group projects, simulations and a capstone or senior practicum that requires students to solve a real organisational problem. Elective options allow you to tailor the degree with topics such as entrepreneurship, service operations, procurement, information systems for managers, or sustainability in operations.

Entry requirements

• Successful completion of secondary school (high school diploma or equivalent) with a record of academic achievement appropriate for undergraduate study.
• Transcripts from all secondary and any post-secondary institutions attended; competitive academic performance in quantitative subjects is helpful.
• Personal statement or essay outlining your interest in business and management; some programmes also request a résumé or list of extracurricular activities.
• Letters of recommendation may be requested in certain admissions pathways or for transfer applicants.
• International applicants must demonstrate English language proficiency via recognised tests or approved institutional alternatives and submit appropriate credential evaluations for academic records.
• Transfer applicants are considered on the basis of college-level coursework and credits; prior coursework in business, mathematics or statistics can be advantageous.

Common career destinations include operations coordinator, supply chain analyst, production planner, project coordinator/manager, logistics specialist and general management trainee roles.
