What you'll study

This undergraduate programme covers the foundations of criminology and the specialised knowledge needed for contemporary corrections practice. Core topics include criminal law, corrections theory and history, offender assessment and classification, probation and parole, juvenile justice, and re-entry and community supervision. Students study research methods and statistics for criminal justice, ethics and professional responsibility, substance abuse and treatment, and victimology.

Practical learning is emphasised through a supervised internship or practicum with local correctional agencies, community supervision offices or non‑profit service providers. A capstone seminar or project brings together policy analysis, case management planning and evidence‑based practice.
