What you'll study

The programme blends foundation courses in human and physical geography with applied cartography and geospatial technology. Students develop core competencies in geographic information systems (GIS), remote sensing, spatial analysis and map design alongside thematic study in areas such as urban geography, environmental geography, and landscape processes.

Entry requirements

• Successful completion of a recognised secondary school qualification or equivalent. Applicants with college transfer credit are considered as transfers.
• Recommended preparation in mathematics (algebra, statistics) and science; coursework in geography or earth science is helpful but not always required.
• Application materials normally include official transcripts. Some applicants may be asked to provide a personal statement outlining interest in geography and GIS; letters of recommendation can strengthen an application.
• International applicants must demonstrate English language proficiency through an accepted test or recognised qualification.
• Non-traditional applicants with relevant work experience or prior college coursework in related fields are also considered.
