Entry requirements

Applicants are expected to hold a recognised bachelor’s degree. Candidates who are certified teachers or who hold a professional teaching licence will follow the certified pathway; those without certification may be eligible for a non‑licensure route or for pathways that support alternative certification depending on state regulations. Typical application materials include academic transcripts, a personal statement describing professional goals, a current CV or résumé, and at least one professional reference.

Villanova also considers applicants’ classroom experience; many successful candidates have several years of teaching or related educational work.
