The programme is studio-centered and balances creative design with technical and ecological knowledge. Core study areas typically include site analysis and site planning, landscape design studios, planting design and plant materials, soils and grading, site engineering and stormwater management, construction materials and detailing, landscape ecology and sustainable design, and professional practice and ethics.
Students also learn technical methods such as CAD, 3D modelling, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), hand and digital drafting, rendering and model-making.
